We have made GREAT progress with the start of the new board. I hope we can continue. We have great plans for this site. And here is where it involves you, WE NEED MORE MEMBERS! What kind of incentive do we have to offer you guys to get you to actively seek out new membership on our behalf? We are open to YOUR suggestions. This is your time to tell us what it will take to get you guys not only posting but telling OTHERS about our site.

In the mean time, Please if you haven't told anyone about evo-tech.net, do.

Please keep your suggestions for membership short and reasonable by posting below. Thank you for your input.

We need a parts fabrication forum. I have a bunch of pics I could post in there. :)

We would prefer to not have a parts fabrication forum, because it ends up becoming a vending without being a vendor situation. A fabrication company as yourself who fabricates alot would be able to come up with say 5 new things a week for instance, and would quickly drown out anybody else's posts, we are aiming to provide a level playing field for vendors and forum members.

If you want to post up pics of things you have fabricated feel free, but make sure they end up in the technical forum, and that they have some sort of technical relevance and they must have a technical writeup, if not they will be moderated. Please understand, this is the only way we can find to keep the field level. If you have a new product that you would like featured we as moderators will feature it for you

Having well written technical posts will not only show your technical prowess and contribute to a technical resource that we all can use, but you will see as posts become archived and some posts will be put into our new "All star highlighted section" we don't have a name for it yet, this will become a symbiotic relationship that will benefit yourself as a business and the consumer, we want the vendors to give back, not only take and manipulate.

Thank you for your input, please post away in the appropriate Technical forums!

I really like the tech info and no nonesense attitude on this site. I will be posting more and more stuff that we "declassify" and put it up here so member will know the real truth about making their mitsubishi go fast reliably.

Any ideas? Should we have some type of contest and get the member who recruits the most some type of reward?

Ideas?

Can we do a monthly giveaway? get some product from a sponsor or whatever?

I think it should revolve the contest around content not member recruiting. You may end up with some shitbag registering a bunch of fake accounts just to win something whereas that does nothing for the board excepts pump the little member count number at the bottom of the screen up. Im still firm on a DIY section where people are drawn in based on content "initially"
I say the best DIY article for the month of feb wins.
March we can do something like best car feature, best profile, most contributing member (all would be voted by members). Theres tons to do, recruiting I say no.
at worst doing the recommended youll have the contributor telling his friends to register and vote for his stuff.

How about winning a spot in the spotlight section

Just giving a special class name would do it for me. I like to bring people to whatever forum is more informative then just a bunch of BS. Ahh back in 03 things were so much different.

Okay vendors, step up to the plate. Who will put something on the line as a contest we can announce to get this place rocking again?

Tshirt? Product? Whatcha got? Lets build this place.

The vendor who decides to put something up. We be the NEXT featured spotlight (Post Marco because I have been working my ass off on his)!

I'm 99% sure my boss Jim will have no problem putting up some JMF shirts for grabs. The only problem there would be is if someone wants a large as we're out at the moment. As for product, I'll see what he says tomorrow.
