I talked to some domestic guys the other day and the first thing out of the mouths was 'Wilson is a BIG name in racing'. They weren't even aware that Wilson Manifolds was in the SportCompact segment. When they saw the Wilson Manifolds 'tag' on my manifold they were surprised.

Wilson is HUGE in racing, and has been for many years. They entered the SC market ( I think) about 5-6 yrs ago) and that's only if my memory serves me correctly. I can't recall who had their first manifold, but I think it was a Florida based Honda team?? I'll try and find out

Yes it was! :)
The car also ran Wilson's direct port nitrous system.
Those were great times. Many long hours on that car.

Im sure he was. I think they will do good this year if Ace can keep pushing the car. He is amazing at getting the car consistent but just wasnt making the power his competitors were. From what i hear there plan for the year is to step up the game obviously its work so far.

I just got back from lunch and funny you posted that, it was one of the topics at lunch. A year ago Capps had some shirts made for his guys and a few friends here. It had Ace's logo on the front and a photo from the 70's on the back. His left hand around a guys neck and his right wound up ready to clock the guy. I will have to dig that one out and see what the caption was. After his illness he is quite a bit leaner, but still has the same fire inside.
