Wow! Not bad! Brent called me this morning and said he broke the track record at Ponce last night! Nobody has ever run that fast there.
That was a back up motor that I put together out of spare parts between 12 am and 5 am that night in Puerto Rico! We called it "the Veteran" cause it was so old.
Way to go GRS!!
thanks for the pics and Vids Jean!
Also Looks like Luis's car is shaping up nicely finally, Did Gaby have a look at it?

How much crap does a team have to go through to get a car to PR? What's the expense and paperwork?

I can't see it being that bad, with the fact that so many PR teams bring their cars over for the Pan Ams and stuff like that. Plus, I think this is Brents 2nd trip in not so long

Brent called me again, I was kinda busy so I got few details out of him.
This was a match race featuring Luis Carujo of Paradise Racing. Luis is the fucking man BTW. So last time in PR the car was a little jacked up and was never going straight we were all suspecting it needed a big time alignment. I couldn't make it down for this race, But Brent's car is in Luis's trailer, so Brent went down just to move his car out of the trailer. While they were there Gaby (from GRS chassis, chassis builder and badass video editor) and Brent and Luis straightened out Luis's car, and now the car is running straight as an arrow!
Since they were there Brent decided to make a little hit to make sure everything was cool since we prepped the whole car before we left last time. Looks like everything was good! no more gremlins like we were having before! and he's also on 'only 65 psi' :D Gaby and some guys from down there were helping out Brent, from what he tells me.
I love the way everybody works together to help each other when were at the track truly a family experience.
If you guys want to get your cars down to PR I can talk to some of the event promoters when we are down there. It is the best place to race in the world.
Paradise runs lower boost, but he also has the big Toyota Tacoma motor. 2.4L I believe, makes gobs of tq

Great update Marco. I would be love to take our car sometime. I've got to learn about the process first, then do the planning. After exchanging several PM's with many of the guys in PR, I have the feeling that they're very gracious in welcoming fellow racers.

Well last wednesday Luis and Brent arrive to Puerto Rico, Gaby (GRS) & I pick them up at the Airport, then we went to the trailer park were Paradaise Racing Trailer was brent and luis cars' were stored to take the Celica to GRS Shop for some suspencion tunning and alignment.
Yesterday at Ponce I helped Luis and Brent, in simple stuff like changing oil and setting up the clutch , handing some tools and stuff. Luis Corujo had a Match Race with La Maijalin a 82 Toyota Starlet whio brote in a testing run.

Youre welcome !
Luis is very happy with the acomplishment, he is only 2 mph below Brents car and it was on a consevative tune, he made 1.13 on the 60th foot while brent made 1.09 secs.
Now its time to turn up a little bit more power !
