Here is what our head is looking like so far. Hope Marco approves.

Head was out about .006 from welding and we had to reseat the valves.

Funny i was just talking to my machinist the other day about oxygenated gas. He of course being a machinist warned and warned me to stay away from it and how corrosive it is. Showed me some snowmobile engines and jet ski engines that were pretty bad. I told him i dont think we really have a option at the levels we are pushing these engines at. He recommend AV gas but i still dont think that compares? Havent really looked into it.

Well there is absolutely no way you can compare av gas to Q16 or VP import. I feel av gas might be 100oct at best and import is 123oct. I feel at our 1100hp and 50psi we are pushing the limit of the VP imports octane. I feel on pauls car with 10:1 comp that VP import would be worth close to 400hp over Av gas.

This is why we are putting the car on E98. Its 10x better on parts only $2.75 a gallon vs $20.

Then again there are those crazy little spots left from being surfaced that kind of show where the water jackets were ;)
