Magnus is proud to introduce its new billet steel shifter forks. Not a new idea but a new design from Magnus, now available for DSM and Evolution 4- 9.

One of the biggest shortcomings of the DSM transmissions is its cast aluminum shifter forks, among other things. Spirited or over zealous drivers may find that pulling a little too hard on their shift lever may end up with broken shifter forks. The most common area of failure for original shifter forks is around the roll pin area which stems from the fact that the original fork does not have enough material around the pin boss to support high loads. By designing and manufacturing these forks from high tensile steel, Magnus has quadrupled the strength of this boss area and removed a source of failure that was becoming all too common in race and street applications. More importantly high performance transmission builds for racing should always consider installing these forks on every build, broken forks can cause catastrophic transmission failures and for the price they are cheap insurance for your next build.

They are compatible with all Magnus Dog box transmissions as well

Features
• CAD Designed
• Magnus race tested and engineered
• All Billet steel construction

Pricing and Part numbers DSM
• SHFK-B12-DSM - Billet steel Shifter fork 1 – 2 DSM $125
• SHFK-B34-DSM - Billet steel Shifter fork 3 – 4 DSM $125
• SHFK-B5R-DSM - Billet steel Shift fork 5 – R DSM small style 5th slider $125 (replaces aluminum fork on early GVR4 trans)

Pricing and Part numbers DSM
• SHFK-B12-EVO - Billet steel shift fork 1 - 2 EVO IV – IX $125
• (for 5 speed transmission)
• SHFK-B34-EVO - Billet steel shift fork 3 - 4 EVO IV - IX $125
• (for 5 speed transmission)

Applications + Notes
• 1988 GVR4 Galant
• 1990 – 1992.5 DSM
• 1992.5 – up DSM * must use upgraded 3 – 4 gear set, original gear set does not handle much power
• 1995 – up DSM * must use upgraded 3 – 4 gear set, original gear set does not handle much power
• EVO 4 – 9

*DSM 3 – 4 Fork is designed to work with early DSM or GVR4 3 / 4 gearset which is the most popular and the strongest hub and sleeve gearset to use from OEM.

Magnus is one of the pioneers in transmission development for the mitsubishi’s.
Over 13 years experience, and developers of the Magnus Dogbox transmission for DSM – EVO 1-3 and EVOlution 4 – 9.

Is their a visual cue that someone can use to tell the difference between the 90-92.5 hub/slider and the 92.5-up hub/slider? Looks good though, I like how slender the design is.

The 92.5+ uphub and slider is larger diameter and thinner usually leads to breakage at over 400 hp of the whole assembly, another vidual cue is three holes in it for the fors as opposed to 2 for the early model, which is the one we everyone uses, with the strong 3/4 gearset

Have a steal or built rail for the DSM stuff?

From what I know you cant get the DSM Steal rail any more so a steal fork is no good with out a good rail. A dbl role pined 3/4 is stronger then the stock rail.

The Rail is a problem sometimes, but the fork fails by far more often. If there is serious interest we can manufacture the rail as well.
